Darlene Madriz brings over 15 years of experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery and women’s wellness education to her role as Board Secretary of Healthy H.E.A.R.T.S. Throughout her nursing career, she has been deeply committed to serving underserved and vulnerable families, an experience that has shaped her passion for equitable, trauma-informed, and compassionate care.

Darlene’s work directly supports the mission by advocating for access to education, health resources, and supportive systems that promote long-term stability and well-being. She contributes valuable expertise in program development, workflow improvement, bilingual communication, and community partnership building, helping strengthen outreach and impact.

Her dedication to service, education, and research was recently recognized with the 2025 Excellence in Nursing Award, honoring her commitment to advancing women’s health and empowering individuals and families during critical life transitions.

On a personal note, Darlene is a devoted wife and mother to two beautiful children, and a huge support system to her entire family.
